happy birthday chuck!

I think he also studied earthworms.  I should have put in some worms.  Also, while he was a young pup when he traveled on the Beagle, I made him olde because... well.. no good reason really.

This was from a year ago sitting at the unemployment office.  That was a fun day.  Almost became a bus driver.
Some more people from the unemployment office.

More Skyrim!

Kinda fan art, but not exactly. This is how I imagine my character looks, minus the Dragonbone Helmet of Shoot 'n Slash. He's not exactly what you would expect from a save the sweet innocent maiden... but he hardly ever does that. He most creeps through caves and ruins putting arrows into the bellies of bandits and ancient undead. I should have really named him Deadeye, but I panicked and named him Cumberpatches. That's because of Sherlock.

It has been a while

Bill Maher, you magnificent bastard. I wanted to do a real quick memory impression sort of sketch of his smarmy, self-aggrandizing smirk as he lays into the christians once again. With apologies to my dear christian friends! I wanted to keep the values to a minimum and use a very large brush and just jam it out.

Unrelated, there are wee little gnat things that keep buzzing around my monitors. I only succeed in smooshing them occasionally, but it doesn't seem to make much difference. Ah, the swamplands of Illinois, you're either freezing or crawling with bugs.

Corey

Here's Corey from LA Ink. Nicole and I got sucked in again after swearing it off. Then we missed the last episode of the season, so we got no resolution. Here's the ref:

slightly suspicious

Mustache Ref
i need to be more careful with the construction. i tend to break the form, neglecting to wrap features around the form. also, the lump of hair above his left ear looks malignant.

feelin great

i feel great today. this is from a photo nicole took of me when i carved out a lemmy style connected mustache. i'm sure there's an official name for this kind of facial topiary. this took me much longer than i had thought it would. i'm trying to speed up my painting techniques to compete with these super fast sketchy fellows that started at work here. i'm still a long way away from breaking into that mind set. yes. well, enjoy it.
